Behavioral Coding Coding System Design

We started with a conversational behavioral interview with the hiring manager. Then, we had two technical interviews that involved pseudo coding, focusing on the reasoning behind your thought process rather than perfect code. Finally, there was a system design interview. The whole process felt quite conversational.

The recruiter reached out to me pretty quickly after I applied to schedule an initial call. I responded, but it took them about a week to get back to me, and they said they were unexpectedly away. We finally had the screen call with the recruiter. They didn't share much about the company or the role; I had to really dig for the standard info recruiters usually give. Instead of explaining the position, they just told me to re-read the job posting and ask questions if I had any, which was basically the whole call. They also didn't mention what the next steps were. Unsurprisingly, I never heard back from them. The recruiter seemed pretty lazy and didn't seem to put any effort into the call. I'm not sure why they even had the call, but maybe they had a quota to meet.

I had a home test on codility with 1 leetcode style question, a frontend question using react/angular, and a backend question using node.js. After that, I had an HR phone call where they asked me about myself. Then, I interviewed with two company engineers.
