I went through 5 rounds of interviews. It started with the HR manager, then my would-be manager, followed by other team members, then the VP of the department, and finally my hiring person again. I didn't have to do a presentation, which is different from academia, but we did discuss my past industry and academic work, and my specific expertise in cell-free DNA.

There were three interview rounds. The first two were 30-minute interviews. The last round was a 4-hour interview with a 40-minute presentation and a 10-minute Q&A for each candidate.

So the interview process was: First a call with the recruiter. Then a HackerRank test with 3 questions, they were pretty easy. After that, I chatted with one of the data scientists. Then there was a take home project. Finally, a 4 hour panel interview. Overall, it was very conversational, not really any leetcode style questions, which I liked. I also liked all the people I met. The downsides were that it seemed like my take-home project wasn't even reviewed, and like others have said, the recruiter tells you you're a top candidate while you wait, but then you get a generic rejection email. It's annoying, but I get why they do it. I'll try again in a few months. I really think this company will be a big player in biological data.
