It was a pretty simple, conventional intro interview with HR. It lasted about 30 minutes. They asked typical questions about my previous experience, roles, responsibilities, etc. I was told I'd hear back about the next steps in a few days, but I never got any response or feedback, even after sending several emails asking for an update. It's unacceptable treatment for candidates, a shame, and very unprofessional.

I was contacted by a recruitment agency about a job posting in the UK. I had a good initial chat with a potential colleague. Things got weird when I talked to the hiring manager, who admitted they hadn't seen my CV before, even though I'd already had two discussions. The whole interview focused on my studies, my master's degree progress, and my job history, with a comment about preferring candidates who don't job hop. I feel like my career moves, which had valid reasons and included periods of 2-3 years in roles, were over-analyzed. They said I didn't move forward for 'other reasons' without any specific feedback, leaving me in the dark. I suspect my career break might have played a role in this treatment. While I'm sure others have had better experiences, I wish they'd provided more input, like I do when I reject a company. It would also be more efficient if the hiring manager reviewed the CV before the interviews.

A recruiter reached out to me and I had two phone screens about my past experience and then my skills. About a week later, I was scheduled for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, I got into a car accident a few days before. The manager was really understanding and flexible, setting up a Skype interview instead. He was professional, courteous, and direct. The interview was about an hour long and very thorough.
