First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TeleTech (Cairo).
Telemarketing Operator
It was easy. The process had two steps. First, they asked some questions like: salary expectations, if I had kids, where I lived, commute time to the company, and I had to do an essay. After that, I was sent to a computer to do some online tests. We were released after a few hours. Weeks later, I got a call for the second part. The questions were: biggest strength, worst weakness, where I saw myself in 5 years, what I wanted to do in the future
- Tell me about mistakes and successes in previous companies.
Atendente
The company's initial contact with candidates was challenging, feeling like I was talking to a child. The process started half an hour late. We had to introduce ourselves and talk about ourselves, then do an internet test in another room, which the analyst said would only take 20 minutes. We waited 2 hours for this test to start. HR couldn't clearly explain how the test should be done. It's hard to pass a test when the person administering it doesn't know how it's done. In the interview room, we were told the response would be given next week, but in the testing room, we were told it would be the next day – conflicting information. We don't get clear feedback, leaving us guessing. HR is disorganized and completely unprepared, lacking respect for candidates. We're here for something serious, not to be treated with such inexperience.
- Could you share your age?
- What is your marital status?
- Tell me about your experiences.
Operations Supervisor
The interview process involved many site visits for tests and interviews, plus filling out forms at the Osasco base, which was far from the final location at Cenesp. One computer-based test had system issues, and the person in charge there implied I didn't fill it out correctly. From the start, they tend to blame the candidate, assuming we're always not meeting the company's standards.
- Were you asked about your family and if you plan to marry and have children?
