So first there was a HR interview, then I talked with the manager of the team, we talked about my experience and motivation. Third interview was with 2 senior developers, it was 1.5h long. They covered a lot of ground, like OS internals, synchronization, C++ standards, databases, and at the end there was a small Leetcode-style assignment (easy). They really wanted to see what I've worked on or know about, and how I think.

I talked to their recruiter, and they were interested in moving forward and said they'd get back to me to schedule the interview. They scheduled an interview but forgot to tell me about it. I got a call during another interview. I tried to reach back out but got no response. Really unprofessional.

The interview process started with an initial phone call, then a take-home coding challenge, and finally an onsite interview with about 4 or 5 interviewers. The questions weren't too hard, and someone with a couple of years of programming experience should be able to handle them. No tricky or brain-teaser questions, but be ready for algorithms and data structures. Expect to do a lot of coding during the onsite. I didn't get an offer; they said I had the technical skills but lacked enthusiasm for the company. I had a packed schedule that day and was sick, so I didn't eat and was low on energy. My advice: research the company beforehand and grab an energy drink if you need it for the HR part. The engineering team seems small with not much hierarchy. The office and parking are typical for a startup in Marina Del Rey, not like a giant company.
