So first there was a HR interview, then I talked with the manager of the team, we talked about my experience and motivation. Third interview was with 2 senior developers, it was 1.5h long. They covered a lot of ground, like OS internals, synchronization, C++ standards, databases, and at the end there was a small Leetcode-style assignment (easy). They really wanted to see what I've worked on or know about, and how I think.

The entire interview process stretched for about 3 months, which felt excessively long. It consisted of 4 rounds, which also seemed like too many. Initially, I completed an online test, which I felt I did well on. This was followed by a 30-minute online HR interview and then a 1-hour in-person manager interview; both of these interactions were pleasant. I suspect the manager just didn't click with me. The final stage appeared to be a 1-hour online interview with global Finance Managers. Despite doing well on the test, I don't mind not proceeding, especially since the process took so long and I had accepted another offer. It was disappointing that after such an extended recruitment, they ended up looking for an intern, especially with 183 applicants, making it hard to believe none were suitable.

Started with an HR interview which was nice. Then I talked to the team lead. She mostly talked about herself and didn't ask much to get to know me. After that, I got a data science task with a three-day deadline. It was a challenging task. I completed it and then had to present it to the whole team. The team seemed really uninterested during my presentation. When they started asking questions, the experience was very unpleasant. Finally, I got a generic email saying they hired someone else.
