I applied online and heard back from a recruiter in 4 days. She arranged a technical phone screen. The interviewer was pretty chill and focused on how I approached the problem. Then, the next week, I had another phone screen with a senior person. We chatted about my past work for about 20 minutes. After that, he asked a common question I hadn't seen before. I explained my ideas, and he pushed me to think about space efficiency. He also threw in good test cases to challenge my answers. In the last 10 minutes, he wanted me to just code it, not worry about being super efficient. I got about 90% done before he cut me off due to time, and that's when I figured it might be a rejection.

First, a recruiter emailed and scheduled a phone interview. The interviewer asked about Java, sorting, and data structures like heaps. It was pretty simple. Then, I had another phone interview a few days later. This one covered C++ questions, specifically virtual functions and how they can be used or misused. I got all the answers right, with a little help from the interviewer. The whole thing went well until it was time for a decision on moving forward. They just stopped responding to my emails and communication. I've interviewed with many companies, and they've all gotten back to me. The interviewers were helpful, and the recruiter was quick to respond, until the very end. It's really unprofessional not to let a candidate know the decision.

The questions weren't too difficult overall, and the interviewers were quite pleasant. One interviewer, who conducted both the phone screen and the onsite (1:1) interviews, did ask some really challenging questions. The expectation wasn't necessarily to solve them perfectly, but more to demonstrate my thought process. I never heard back after my interview, which was a bit strange and felt unprofessional. The work environment also didn't seem like a good fit for me.
