You begin by applying online via the TM Career portal, where you'll upload your resume and fill in job details. After submitting, you might get an automated confirmation email, but even if not, your application is in the system. TM HR then reviews applications and will contact shortlisted candidates via email or call for the next stage, which could take days to weeks. For some technical roles, an online assessment might be required to check your skills. After that, you'll have interviews, usually starting with HR, then moving to a technical or panel interview depending on the role, conducted via Microsoft Teams or in person. If you succeed in the interviews, you'll get an official offer letter by email, and upon acceptance, the onboarding process will start with guidance on your start date and next steps.

First there was a call to screen me, then I had a group interview and got accepted. Then there was 2 weeks of training about the company products, followed by 2 weeks of on-site training where I was buddied with seniors. After that, I started working, with basic pay only for the training months.

I had an interview on Teams with just two days' notice, which was tough to get ready for. I asked to reschedule, but they said the panel was already set, which I thought was weird since they should check with me first. The interview itself was pretty bad. The questions weren't really about the job, so I couldn't show off what I know. They also asked about my salary in front of everyone, which felt like it should have been private. And I had to give them my last three months' payslips, which felt more like a loan application than a job interview. I was really unhappy with how it all went down; it didn't feel professional at all.

So I recently went through the Telekom Malaysia interview process, and honestly, it was pretty well put together and they were upfront about everything. Applying was simple enough, and HR got back to me pretty quickly. The interviewers were really professional and they covered both technical stuff and asked about how I handle things. They seemed really focused on whether I'd fit in with the company culture and if my values matched theirs. They were clear about the timing and what to expect, and even after the interview, the feedback they gave was helpful. All in all, the whole thing felt professional and transparent, which was a good vibe.
