First, there was a phone chat to make sure I was still interested, asked about pay, and the job details. Then an online interview that went over my resume. The in-person interview was tougher and focused on if I could do the job or was willing to learn the important values and how things are done.

It was a pretty typical interview where we discussed my past work and my experience specifically in case management. They also asked about my skills with software like Word, Excel, and Docs. A key part of the interview involved a hypothetical scenario about how I'd respond if a client was in a crisis and considering self-harm.

The recruiter on LinkedIn said the salary was about $60k/year. When she called, she said they would pay at least $21-$22/hr and reimburse gas/mileage for driving to clients. However, during the interview, the interviewer stated the job is capped at $19/hr and no reimbursement is offered. I didn't hear back, which is fine because this job isn't for me. The interviewer seemed to notice I wasn't okay with the actual job details. She also mentioned I would have 14-15 clients to see weekly. It's unbelievable how they expect someone to handle that many clients and crisis intervention without a living wage, while management profits.
