Cloud Support Engineer
An interview is basically a structured chat to see if you're a good fit for the job. They'll ask you stuff about your skills, what you've done, and how you solve problems. It can be in person, on the phone, or online. They want to check if you know your stuff, can talk clearly, and would fit in with the team. It's super important to get ready: check out the company, re-read the job description, and practice some common questions. Sometimes they do behavioral questions, technical ones, or ask what you'd do in certain situations. The main idea is to show them you're capable, confident, and what they need. If it goes well, you might get an offer or move on to the next step.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What's your motivation for accepting a position with lower compensation?
Support Engineer
I connected with a recruiter at a job fair and also had friends refer me for this role. The interview process involved meeting with two people. One interviewer was great, but the other seemed arrogant. I had to complete a quick computer skills test that included writing responses to customer service scenarios. The company culture seems very intense, so if you can talk the corporate talk, are okay with lower pay, and get excited about perks like pizza parties, you'll do well. You should tell them what they want to hear, especially if you need the job.
- Can you explain the reason for any gaps in your employment history?
Software Support Engineer
I sent my profile through their website and got a call the next day for a phone interview. They checked my English level. If you did well, they'd email you with the files you need and the date for the on-site interview. A week later, I had the on-site interview with the recruiter. She asked me questions in English about how I'd handle an angry customer, basically soft skills questions. Then, I had to take two exams: one written English exam and a technical exam. The English exam had basic English questions, writing a draft email to a customer, finding mistakes in a text, and a unique selection test. The technical exam covered Databases, Windows OS, Linux OS, Programming, and Networking. After the exams, I interviewed with a team manager who asked technical questions. It's unpredictable since it varies for everyone. If I passed those steps, the recruiter gave me a card to sign if I wanted the job. The card proposed the salary and benefits. After signing it, they gave me the date to sign the contract and my start date.
- Can you explain the difference between TCP and UDP?
- What command do you use in Linux and Windows to check the IP configuration?
- Are you familiar with what a CRM is?
