Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tekion.
Quality Analyst
So first there was an aptitude test, then we had a group discussion, and after that, the technical interview. The technical part began with a personal intro, and then we talked about HTML basics, JavaScript, the SDLC, APIs, and how to present your resume. The most important thing they stressed was to be confident when answering.
- Can you define what an element is in HTML?
- Could you explain what APIs are?
- Can you describe the SDLC process?
Software QA Engineer
I got a call from a consultancy for a QA role, which involved functional and SQL knowledge. The interview had 2 technical rounds and 1 managerial round. I completed both technical rounds and the managerial one. The interview went well, but I didn't get any feedback initially on whether I was selected. I followed up, but it wasn't helpful. After two days, they called to say I wasn't selected for the initial position, but they had another similar role on a different team. I passed the technical rounds, but the manager in the final round seemed distracted, interacting with others while I was there. The feedback mentioned my technical skills and resume were impressive, but he was more interested in who referred me, not asking any technical or behavioral questions. The next day, the recruiter informed me I wasn't selected for the final round without any reason. Honestly, it felt like a waste of time, so be cautious about this interview process.
- Can you describe a project involving SQL queries?
- What are your Java concepts?
- Tell me about your programming experience.
QA Engineer
The interview process at Tekion typically involves two rounds if a hiring manager directly schedules it. However, if the BarRaiser team is involved, it can extend to four rounds: two with BarRaiser and two with the internal team. The questions were pretty basic, not difficult. They did test my patience, though, because I had to provide feedback after each round. The entire process, from the first day to receiving the offer letter, took about 40 days.
- What is the difference between get() and navigate().to()?
- Can you explain window handling?
- Tell me about Selenium Frameworks.
