I had to chase the recruiter a bunch to move forward. Then I got passed to a different recruiter I'd never spoken to before. The interviews were pretty chill but also kinda weird. Anyway, I got to the final round which was a day and a half long.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a phone screen with a recruiter, which was fast and efficient, and she set up my next interview during the call. I then got a simple take-home project. The second interview was with two people who asked general and role-specific questions. The third interview was also with two people who asked about my experience and the role. After that, I had to share my screen and answer questions, create formulas for data, identify ad campaign types, and evaluate ad effectiveness. While the interview was easy up to that point, being put on the spot made it tough. The whole process felt thorough and I really respected it. Everyone was great to talk to, professional, and it moved fairly quickly given the number of interviews.

Case Presentation Behavioral Technical

I went through a 3-round interview process over 2 weeks. It included interviews with the hiring manager, brand marketing manager, and a panel. Including the case study work and the final presentation, I spent about 7-8 hours on it. I got positive feedback after the last call and was told they'd contact me by the end of the next week, but then they completely ghosted me. No call or email to say I didn't get it, and no feedback at all. It was super disappointing. I figured I didn't get it when I saw new ads for the same job on LinkedIn.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Analyze current Google Ads performance and suggest improvements.
  • Develop a new LinkedIn strategy without any prior information.
  • In the final panel interview, discuss your proposed ad spend allocation.

So the interview was like in 3 parts. First there was this initial screen which was basically a chat about the role and my background, pretty chill. Then I had two more interviews that were kind of a mix of technical and behavioral. The first of these had a behavioral part with the manager, then a Python coding task – it was a data processing thing, not too hard. The second tech interview started with some talk about system design concepts, like high-level, no drawing stuff. Also got asked about Python and database design. Then there was an SQL skills test. Lastly, I talked to the product manager for a behavioral interview.
