Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ted Baker London.
Marketing Assistant
They asked about my past experiences and how I would approach increasing media coverage. The manager seemed friendly and likely wanted to assess my communication skills during the conversation.
- Do you have any strategies for boosting media coverage?
Social Media Executive
So I had 2 rounds of interviews. The first one was with HR over the phone, and it was mostly about behavioural questions and my past experience. The second round was with both the Line Manager and the HR, and I had to do a task, present it, and then answer some general behavioural questions.
- Can you tell me about your experience working in a team?
- What are some of your hobbies or things you're interested in?
- What drives you or keeps you motivated?
Marketing Executive
It was awful - I took two days holiday to prep for a 25 minute interview, and they clearly hadn't prepped at all. One interviewer was on their laptop the whole time, showing no interest. It was obvious there was no chance of getting the job before it even started. Both interviewers said they'd 'be in touch,' but I've heard nothing. I followed up with HR but got no reply. Terrible experience from a big, 'reputable' company with a dedicated HR team.
- Have you seen any of our campaigns?
