They were upfront about the salary and sent over some pre-reading material about the company and what they expected for the interview, like discussing my technical background. They made a quick decision too. The interviewers were nice and chill, making it a relaxed vibe.

Started with a prescreen phone interview, then had a face-to-face meeting. The interview went really well and they seemed keen. Later that week, they requested my references, and a few days after that, they contacted them. My references let me know they completed the reference form, so I'm sure there were no issues there. I didn't get the job and they never told me; I had to follow up after two weeks. Apparently, someone was on vacation. HR mentioned they had filled the position I interviewed for but were considering me for another area and would be in touch in a couple of weeks. Then, they went silent. Four months later, they posted the same job again. It's not fair to have references do all that work on a candidate's behalf and then not make an offer. It was a waste of everyone's time, not just mine. I'm glad I didn't get the job because that's how they treat people.
