I met with the intern coordinator and another research analyst. They took me into a small conference room and we talked about usual interview questions like strengths/weaknesses, team stuff, and challenges I've overcome. Then, they explained what they do and how it connects to what I do as a student. We also discussed the company culture and how their intern program is set up. They asked some logistical questions about my availability to start and how many hours I can work weekly. After that, they mentioned they'd email me a writing test and gave a deadline for its return, asking me to time myself. I did the writing test at home.

I sent in my resume and cover letter through a job board and got a call back the same week to set up an in-person interview. I then met with some people from the practice group and HR, and they asked me some basic questions about my resume and some behavioral questions. They were trying to gauge if I could do the different types of work mentioned in the job listing. Right after that interview, I got an email with a sample PPT project to complete within about a week. A week after I sent in the project, I was invited back for a second interview that lasted a few hours. I met with almost everyone from the practice I was applying to. Both interviews were long (3-4 hours each), but the questions were pretty straightforward. Even though it took a week longer than expected to hear back, I eventually got an email asking for a good time to call me about a job offer.

I sent my resume in response to a job posting on my university's career site. A few days later, they rang me to arrange an in-person interview. I was interviewed by two Research Analysts at the same time and the questions were quite basic. After the interview, they informed me that they would be sending me some information to review and complete an analysis for a company, which is what interns do there. After they e-mailed me, I completed the analysis immediately and sent it back. It took them two weeks to get back to me about my completed analysis test and they said that while my qualifications and experience made me a suitable candidate, they decided to move forward with other applicants for the position.
