First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TechnipFMC.
Mechanical Engineering Intern
The application was submitted through the Universia website. After many months, the interview was conducted directly with the area manager. The process was extremely slow and disorganized. The HR recruiter sometimes sent the Teams interview link at the last minute, with only 5 minutes notice, without previously informing the exact time the interview would take place.
- Since this is an internship interview, what subjects in your course do you like the most and least?
- Can you provide an example of how you solved a problem and how that experience would be useful for your performance in this position?
Mechanical Engineer
The questions asked felt appropriate for the job. It was a technical interview and we were given enough time to think about answers. There were multiple interviews to check my knowledge and skills more deeply.
- Calculate the moment of a bar.
Mechanical Engineer
The interview was 15 minutes long and focused on checking if my basics were clear. The interviewer wasn't very interested in my resume. Although I had an internship in the automotive industry, they didn't ask me about it, but some classmates who didn't have automotive internships or whose projects weren't on assembly lines/process planning were asked about theirs. They asked questions related to second-year subjects such as SOM, Material Science, metallurgy concepts, and thermodynamics, depending on my favorite subject.
- Were cycles like Carnot and Rankine asked to some candidates?
- Was SFD/BMD asked to draw just based on support, type of force...values were not given?
