Process Engineer
Met with two technical people and one HR person. Questions about my background and my projection within the company in the next 5 years. Technical questions on engineering.
- What is your experience in engineering and design?
Process Engineer
During a major hiring year, I received a phone call after submitting my resume for an interview. All interviews are strictly technical, regardless of level. I spent about two hours with the HOD and a principal engineer, focusing on a technical plant design. They wanted to see a high-level understanding of engineering principles and theories. They asked about engineering theory, equipment design basis, and safety.
- How would you justify the sizing and selection of equipment in your plant design?
Process Engineer
The first interview round focused on my final year projects and non-academic achievements. The second interview asked the exact same questions, which felt repetitive.
- What technical challenges did you encounter in your final year projects?
- Can you describe the technical challenges you faced during your final year projects?
