The interview process started with a recruiter call. Then, there was a technical screen. It included 3 questions: Tell me about yourself, what are your favorite subjects, and a good-level question on your favorite subject. For civil-structural engineering, the subject should be on tips; also, transportation can be a 2nd choice.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you introduce yourself?
  • Which subjects do you like the most?
  • Can you answer a high-level question about your preferred subject, specifically in civil-structural engineering, where the subject matter should be at your fingertips? Alternatively, transportation can be your second choice.

This was an on-campus job where they were offering 6.5 LPA for Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil as a GET. The selection process involved our PCC providing a Google Form to enter details like Name, branch, CGPA, resume, etc. Then, 47 students were shortlisted for a test. They conducted an AMCAT test on the SHL portal, which included Aptitude, English, Reasoning, and Electrical (14 questions from Power System, Machines, Digital). Students were then shortlisted based on CGPA, which was surprising since they conducted a test. My test went well because it was easy, and I think I got 80-85% correct, but they shortlisted students with bias. My friends who didn't perform well in the test but had higher CGPA than me got selected for the interview. According to my friend, the Technical Interview had questions from Electrical Machines, Power System, and projects. After that, they conducted an HR Interview for a few students.

We started with a computer based test to screen us. It had questions about our engineering discipline and aptitude questions covering logical reasoning and English. The test was medium difficulty, but the discipline questions were harder. After passing that, we had a group discussion as it was a pooled campus drive, so there was a lot of competition. Finally, there were three face-to-face interviews: General, HOE, and HR. These interviews were pretty easy and each took about 20 minutes.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you list and explain the different modes of heat transfer?
  • Please draw and explain the stress-strain diagram.
