I got an interview call after a friend referred me. Even though I'm an international student with a noticeable accent, the interviewer had one too! He was a nice guy and ended up being my mentor. He asked a lot about MPEG standards like Intra and Inter frame predictions and CABAC, but no coding was involved. The interview lasted an hour and was full of tough questions. Near the end, he asked if I had any research ideas for when I start. I shared a few, which he liked, and I think that's why I got the internship. So, be ready for that kind of question.

The process was very fluid, and they showed real interest in my candidacy. HR was involved throughout, and the line manager made me feel very comfortable. The questions were to the point. There were 2 rounds in total, all managed online, which was great for me as a student because I didn't have to travel until the internship started.
