First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TechLink Systems.
System Engineer
The interview process for the System Engineer role was pretty good and professional. First, there was a phone screening about my technical background, then a technical interview with problem solving and real-world scenarios, and finally a behavioral interview about teamwork and challenges. The interviewers were nice and made it easy to talk. It was a good experience that showed off the company’s culture and new ideas.
- Tell me about a situation where you found a problem in a system and what you did to fix it.
Web Manager
The staffing agent from Techlink called me about a position. She initially seemed impressed, but it turned out to be for a different role, although she still thought I was great. We arranged for me to send my resume the next morning. I didn't get it sent by 9 am, and received an unprofessional voicemail at 10:30 about it. It's really not a big deal to wait a few hours, and if not getting the job because of that rush is the case, then so be it. 11:59 is still technically morning.
- No questions were asked, it was just a screening.
Recruiter
It was a short interview, not really testing any technical skills. It was more of a behavioral and personality type of interview. The company was poorly managed and there was no work-life balance. The manager spent more time shopping on Rodeo Drive than doing any actual work. She fired several people because they refused to run errands for her. Her sister, who was the CEO, seemed unaware of what was happening.
- Tell me about yourself.
Software Developer
First there was an online aptitude test with basic quant questions and some technical MCQs on C, C++, SQL, OS, etc. Then there was a face-to-face interview that was technical, followed by an HR interview.
