First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TDS.
Network Engineer
It was a remote interview, so a camera is needed. They asked some tough technical questions. The interview was just with one manager and was very laid back. I would expect similar in other positions as well. Prepare for tougher technical questions.
- How would you handle a problem with a contractor?
SAP Business Systems Analyst
They use iCIMS to manage applications, so watch out for emails from them. The first round was a 45-minute to an hour phone screening covering past experience, SAP modules, and behavioral questions. The second round was on Skype with a manager and two business analysts. It lasted about 90 minutes and the questions were relevant to the job. I was disappointed they didn't inform me about the outcome after I followed up, which I found to be poor practice.
- Could you explain the job requirements and your comfort level with them?
- Do you have any technical SAP questions?
- Tell me about your experience with on-call support and your working style.
MNO
The interview process was pretty standard. It was mostly behavioral questions and some basic background checks. The HR department didn't seem to know much about the role, and the hiring manager was a senior engineer who also had other duties. The compensation offered was lower than average. The role itself was average, and they were using old hardware. It felt like they were looking for candidates with skills from about ten years ago.
- Tell me about your background.
- Can you share some examples of your behavior in certain situations?
Direct Sales Representative
It was super easy, I knew I wanted to work there right away. The whole thing took two days. I met the sales manager on day one, and they set up another interview for the next day with the regional manager. We had a phone call that lasted about 25 minutes. The sales manager called the day after that to say I got the job.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- What motivates your interest in a sales career?
