Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TCS.
Graduate Trainee
The interview process was smooth and clear, starting with an HR call, followed by technical questions and a manager round. Communication was timely, and interviewers were friendly and professional throughout.
- Can you introduce your projects?
- Could you explain what stacks and queues are?
- What are the basics of DSA?
Graduate Trainee
It was a good interview, conducted on campus. They asked about my projects, some DSA, and then asked if I was willing to relocate. They also asked what I knew about TCS, how college was, what subjects were taught, and my favorite one.
- Can you tell me about your projects?
- Do you have knowledge of DSA?
- Are you open to relocation?
Graduate Student
The interview is a two-stage process. First, a Technical Interview to check your skills in coding, data structures, and algorithms. After that, a Managerial Interview will check how you solve problems, make decisions, and fit with the team's goals. You need to pass this to move on. Second, an HR Interview to talk about your interests from your resume, how you communicate, and if you'd fit the company culture. Only those who pass the first round get to the second.
- Could you explain your choice of Python over Java in your previous projects?
