It was pretty fast. The first interviewer seemed unfocused. Right after we talked, he unexpectedly asked if I wanted to interview with the manager. He also wanted to do a role play, which I definitely wasn't expecting. Even though I didn't really want the job, I felt I had to do it because I was desperate, which turned out to be a bad call. The manager interview was standard with prepared questions, but he seemed completely uninterested, like he was just going through the motions.

Got a call from TCF Bank, asked some basic questions, then they set up another interview. I went into a branch the next day to interview with a recruiter who said she'd call me back by end of day. She actually called the day after that to set up an interview with the branch manager for the day after. That's when things went south. I got to the Jewel-Osco location 20 mins early and waited in their messy office. It was awkward. Right before the interview, a client's mom showed up, so the manager asked me to wait outside for another 20 mins. I even ended up helping a Jewel-Osco customer who thought I worked there because I was dressed business-professional. After the manager finished with her client, she called me back in. Then they started signing a card for a promoted employee! Finally, the interview started, but I got interrupted a few more times by other employees. It was super frustrating, but I stayed calm and pitched myself. The rest of the short interview was rushed because someone else was waiting. I was supposed to go into an aisle and try selling TCF products, but we ran out of time, so I just pitched the manager. She said it was pleasant and she'd let me know by end of day if I got the job. After a week and a half, I got an email saying I wasn't selected. The whole TCF interview experience was a mess and a waste of time.

I applied online and then they reached out for an on site interview. I went to the actual branch and had the interview while it was busy there. The interview had behavioral questions and was about my personal experiences. After the interview, they introduced me to other employees. A few days later, I got an offer. Then I took and passed a drug screen. About a week after that, I started.
