First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Taylor Corporation.
Account Manager
Applied online and then had a recruiter call. After that, I had an in-person chat with the hiring manager. Then, I had a virtual Teams interview with the department head. To wrap things up, I had another Teams interview with the same department head and another person from a different office. The whole process took about 2 months from start to finish until I got the offer.
- Can you explain what escalation means to you?
Client Account Manager
Had a 3-round interview process. The first two rounds were virtual, and the final one was on-site. The first round was with HR, the second with my potential supervisor, and the last with two directors/senior management folks. I was surprised my on-site interview colleagues were dressed casually, one in a graphic tee and jeans. The office was pretty standard for a small business, with cubicles and no special amenities nearby, and they expect a hybrid 3 days in office/2 remote schedule. They mentioned a salary range of $75-95k during the interviews, but then offered $65k with no room to negotiate. I told them this was misleading and I wouldn't have continued if they had been upfront about it. The offer came over the phone, with no extra details like benefits, start date, or a formal letter. But honestly, even good benefits wouldn't make up for the low salary.
- Can you tell me about how you learn best?
- How proficient are you with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, and can you create advanced Outlook rules?
Account Manager
It was a quick but thorough interview with the hiring manager. They discussed what my day-to-day would look like as an Account Manager and which programs I'd need to get up to speed on. They were upfront about the job's demands and wanted to know more about my background and experience.
- What previous job experience prepared you for this role?
- What was your tenure at your last employer?
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
