Had a 3-round interview process. The first two rounds were virtual, and the final one was on-site. The first round was with HR, the second with my potential supervisor, and the last with two directors/senior management folks. I was surprised my on-site interview colleagues were dressed casually, one in a graphic tee and jeans. The office was pretty standard for a small business, with cubicles and no special amenities nearby, and they expect a hybrid 3 days in office/2 remote schedule. They mentioned a salary range of $75-95k during the interviews, but then offered $65k with no room to negotiate. I told them this was misleading and I wouldn't have continued if they had been upfront about it. The offer came over the phone, with no extra details like benefits, start date, or a formal letter. But honestly, even good benefits wouldn't make up for the low salary.

The whole interview process took over 7 weeks. It started with a recruiter call in early May. It took a while to schedule the next step, which was an interview with the hiring manager, focusing on my background fit for the role. After that, I was supposed to interview with the department head. The recruiter claimed my reply went to her junk box, which seemed odd. Then, I interviewed with the department head, and it went really well. He said he'd move me to the final step, a panel interview with two other candidates. I followed up with the recruiter twice to schedule this, but over a week later, she told me the position was filled. I'm confused about what happened, and this recruiter was hard to reach. I wouldn't recommend Taylor until their recruiters are more responsive.
