Marketing Intern
I found the posting on my university’s career center, emailed my resume and cover letter, and got an email back the next morning to set up a phone interview. We talked early the following week. The phone interview was casual and conversational. He asked about my previous job tasks and what I wanted to do with my marketing major. Then he explained Taycor with analogies. He answered my questions and invited me for an in-person interview the following Thursday. I got an email with directions right after. I found the office easily. When I got there, about five or six people greeted me, including the phone interviewer. Before discussing the job, he gave me resume tips and constructive criticism, which I found really cool and helpful. He then explained my job would be operations management – SEO and credit transactions. He also broke down the company’s business model into steps, which I appreciated because it helped me understand the company and my daily tasks. The interview felt like a casual conversation, and I felt like I fit in with the modern company culture. He mentioned my hours would be flexible, needing me on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I could pick another day. He understood my busy schedule and said taking a day off would be no problem. I really appreciated this flexibility as a busy college student balancing 5 courses and an internship! He concluded by offering me the position, and I accepted. It was a highly positive experience, and I’d recommend pursuing a career there.

Vendor Relations Assistant
I found out about the Vendor Relations Assistant job through a friend at school and emailed my resume to the contact she gave me. I got an email back asking if I wanted to interview and we set a time. The interviewer told me exactly where to go and where to park, which was super helpful. The interview itself was really good. The interviewer was really friendly and laid-back. He started by telling me about the company and what they do. I had already done some research, but hearing it from him helped me understand it better. He explained their business process and that they needed someone to help with their vendor database, like getting contact info or grabbing logos from websites. Then, we talked about my resume, going over my previous jobs and what I liked about them. He even complimented my resume and gave me some tips to make it better, which I really appreciated. The interviewer then explained the job's expectations and what I'd be doing. My friend had given me a heads-up that it wasn't a glamorous job and mostly involved repetitive computer tasks. The interviewer was very upfront about this, making sure I knew that if I wasn't okay with doing the same tasks daily, it wouldn't be the right fit. I really valued his honesty and clear explanation, not giving me a false impression. He covered the hours and pay, and mentioned that the job is really flexible if I needed an extra day off, which was great because as a busy college student taking a summer class, that flexibility was really appealing. Overall, the interview was very professional yet relaxed, and the interviewer was very kind and direct. I'd definitely recommend Taycor Financial to anyone interested.

Account Executive
The interview process involved a phone interview (referred to as the 'voice over the phone test'), followed by a 1:1 interview (the 'face to face test'). The next stage was a 'writing test,' which required writing an honest review of the interview process. The base pay structure was clarified during the 1:1 interview, revealing a pro-rated $36K annual base pay for the first three months during training, transitioning to 100% commission with no salary afterward. Information about current Account Executives' earnings varied between the website and interviews, with the interviewer stating that some reps made up to $200,000 before the economic downturn. The interviewer struggled to provide specific figures for minimum and maximum earnings for the current office's Account Executives, citing a 'new program' that was only a few weeks old. The hiring manager was friendly, the office culture seemed easy-going, and there was potential for high earnings. The hiring manager also offered constructive feedback on the resume.

Marketing Assistant
I applied for the Marketing/Customer Service Assistant role online at Taycor Financial and got a call back in two days. The first step was a phone call with the company president where I was asked to give a brief description of myself and share what hobbies I enjoy. After that, we scheduled a second interview at the office. During the in-person interview, I met with the President who made me feel very comfortable and excited to be there. The interview was direct and focused on what I wanted from the position. They gave me the weekend to think about it, and I accepted the offer.
