Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tata.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview involved a coding test and an interview, then an in-person visit to see the office and meet the team. The team members were great to collaborate with, and the hiring team was also very friendly.
- What motivates you to join our company?
Software Developer
You start by sending in your application, either online or however else you can apply. Then, an HR person might give you a quick call or chat online to see if you're a good fit. If that goes well, you'll likely have a technical interview where they'll ask you stuff about programming, frameworks, patterns, and algorithms.
- Tell me about your past work in this area.
- What abilities or advantages do you have that would make you a great fit for this position?
- Could you outline your approach to solving problems?
Software Engineer
It was a two-interviewer situation, one was a software consultant and the other was an HR lady. The HR lady was super disrespectful, like, I've never been this mad during an interview, but this one really got to me. The consultant guy was chill though, but still, the whole thing was pretty wild.
- What's your approach to designing a home for someone who is blind?
