Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tata Steel.
Sales Manager
The interview process was good, with two stages and quick results leading to a clear offer. Although the hiring process was lengthy and the HRs lacked empathy, the overall perks and benefits were good, despite the low salary compensation.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Sales Manager
The interview process involved 3 rounds with HR and senior sales executives. We mostly discussed my previous work experience, solving GTM strategy cases for a product, and my expectations for the role. I also had to outline 5 anticipated problems upon joining.
- Can you describe your previous role's responsibilities?
- Let's discuss a case study concerning the go-to-market strategy for a new product.
- What are your expectations for this position?
Sales Manager
After resume screening, there was a group discussion and then an interview. The interview felt pretty relaxed, and I can't recall the exact topic, but it was a low-pressure conversation. The interview panel consisted of three people: one from HR and two senior individuals from the business unit. The questions were logical, and the interview itself was quite brief.
- What is your approach to market sizing?
