Applied online. Heard back from HR in 3 weeks about an interview at Tata Steels Netherlands, but they don't cover travel costs. The office felt old and disorganized, with no one at reception and issues finding the interviewers. The first interview was with HR and a team lead, lasting about an hour with random questions about job responsibilities and whether I'd be disappointed working for an Indian company. The second interview was with the team lead and line manager. The office conditions were still poor. The line manager seemed unprepared, asking basic questions he likely found online, like why Tata Steels, my 5-year goals, previous steel experience (despite my CV), and conflict handling. I was told I'd hear back in a week, but after chasing them for a month, I was eventually rejected for lacking steel experience, which was clear from my CV. The whole experience was very disappointing due to the office environment, the disorganized process, and the wasted time and money.

We start off with a group discussion on a general topic, maybe current affairs or something from the industry. After the group discussion, a short screening is done. Then, the shortlisted candidates are invited for a panel interview. In the panel interview, we ask questions related to HR, personality, your core area of expertise, and other interests. We also ask about your qualifications. After the panel interview, candidates are shortlisted again. Finally, the shortlisted candidates are called for a medical test. Once the medical is done and cleared, the offer letter is sent within 2 weeks.

The company was hiring interns from the electrical and mechanical engineering branches through campus interviews. The process involved a 2-hour written test, split into 1 hour each for aptitude and technical sections. After a significant gap of 3-4 months, the names of students who qualified for the next stage were announced. Subsequently, selected students were notified about the upcoming interviews, which included one technical interview and one HR interview.
