First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tata Steel.
Intern
So, for accounting and finance roles, we do these case studies that are more than just recalling stuff. It's about seeing if you can actually use what you know on real business problems. You gotta think critically to look at financial data, figure out the main risks and chances, and then suggest what to do, backing it up. Also, how you present is a big deal – make sure it's clear, makes sense, and sounds professional. This shows you can actually talk about complicated finance stuff to others. Basically, we want to see a complete solution that's well thought out, showing you've got both finance smarts and good business sense.
- Can you tell me about a significant project from your resume?
Intern
To get into Tata Steel as an intern, they first look at your resume. Then, there's an online test that covers aptitude and technical stuff. After that, you'll have a technical interview where they ask about core mechanical topics and your projects. Finally, there's an HR interview to check out your personality, how you work with others, and what motivates you. Having good basic knowledge, knowing about the industry, and being able to communicate clearly really helps you get selected.
