Applied online, then had a few email exchanges with HR to set up times, and then chatted with the hiring manager for about half an hour. I was actually doing the exact same job at another company, and TASC had just taken over the government contract from my old employer. The hiring manager seemed really keen on my experience. HR called later and said TASC wanted to hire me, but they were offering the same role at a 30% pay cut. I turned it down. I've heard from a few people I know there that this is a common thing with TASC, trying to get people to take a big pay cut.

Recruiter reached out via email and had me complete a questionnaire. Then, the hiring manager called to set up the interview. I met three people in the lobby of the Vienna, VA office. The interview felt very scripted. Three different types of people, all talking at once: one angry, one a friendly jokester, and one the tech expert. It felt more like a personality or ADD test. Not very professional.

The recruiter was super helpful and responsive. They gave me a call, and right then, we set up an interview with the manager. The recruiter confirmed everything with the address, time, and the documents I needed to fill out. They even met with me before the main interview, which was in person. The recruiter got back to me within three days.
