Country Manager
The interview experience was stellar! TapTap Send's HR is truly world class and very human. The transparency and respect throughout the process was a breath of fresh air all delivered with a smile and positive vibes that make one feel not only included but at ease to be themselves. I saw countless businesses as a strategy consultant and worked in top organisations and tech businesses (GAFA) but TapTap Send's team really stood out. Kudos for building a stellar team and culture.
- How would you handle a situation where a team member is not performing well?
Country Manager
Got contacted on LinkedIn by a Talent Partner because my profile matched the job. Had 4 interviews: 1st with HR, mostly to learn about the company, introduce myself, share my background and motivations. 2nd with the Hiring Manager, focused on the role and my fit, where I shared my skills, expertise, and market knowledge. 3rd with the hiring manager's boss, for me to introduce myself and ask questions. 4th, a final interview with the CEO, where we talked about my country strategy and business plan. Then, there were some tests and case studies: 1. A task to assess my market analysis and business management skills. 2. A field test in London, followed by a debrief and a meeting with the hiring manager and her boss. The hiring process itself was professional and the HR person was great, but I ended up with a negative experience because they didn't respect the promised timeline for a final answer, and I had to chase them for it. I felt like they used me for market intelligence and to check some business assumptions instead of hiring a research agency.
- What would be your key strategic points to grow our business in country X?
Country Manager
Really fast and they were flexible with my start date. It went like this: First a screening interview, then a session with the Manager, then a task with the Manager, and finally the CEO interview. They were super flexible about when I could start, especially since my old job wouldn't let me go right away.
- Given $x budget, what would be your plan for 1 week in the sender country and 1 week in the receiver country?
