First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tandym Group.
Recruiter
Interview went well. First was a phone screen, then a second interview with the team lead which was positive and exciting. The third interview was with the head of the team, which went fine, but they seemed a bit disengaged and busy. Overall the interview went well. The Head of the team mentioned next steps with the Vice President. I felt I had done well. After a week of no follow-up, I reached out and was told they were going with someone else further along, which was confusing as I thought I was at the end of the process. I asked for feedback but didn't hear back.
- What is your motivation for recruiting?
- Why are you looking to switch into a recruiting role?
- Are you motivated by money?
Executive Recruiter
This interview is for the Waltham office, also known as greater Boston. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the locked door by a staff member. I informed them I had an interview scheduled and with whom. I waited for about 5 minutes, although I was ten minutes early for the scheduled time. The first person I met with was the Managing Director of the IT sector for a 30-minute conversation. Following that, the Sales Director of IT joined, and we had another 30-minute conversation. The interviewers did most of the talking but did allow for questions at the end.
- What specific job titles are you targeting?
- How do you handle rejection?
- Are you able to adapt to meet client needs?
Staffing Manager
The interview process was very disorganized and unprofessional. I was interviewing for a position, only to be told afterwards that the budget hadn't been finalized. After several interviews, I was informed they didn't have the budget for the role. This went on for 3 weeks, and I met with almost everyone in the company, only to not get an offer because the company hadn't figured out their budget logistics. Also, everyone I met said the exact same thing as the previous 20 people; nothing new was said, and they always seemed rushed.
- What is your interest in exeusearch?
- What are your reasons for pursuing a recruiting career?
