It started with a quick first round interview, then 3 different online interviews after that meeting people from different teams. It was nice to talk to a bunch of different people and get a better vibe of the company.

Interview went well. First was a phone screen, then a second interview with the team lead which was positive and exciting. The third interview was with the head of the team, which went fine, but they seemed a bit disengaged and busy. Overall the interview went well. The Head of the team mentioned next steps with the Vice President. I felt I had done well. After a week of no follow-up, I reached out and was told they were going with someone else further along, which was confusing as I thought I was at the end of the process. I asked for feedback but didn't hear back.

The recruitment agency, Execu-Search, connected me with their client. I ended up paying the agency their fees out of my wages, which was a significant cut! Both the agency recruiters and their client were relentless, contacting me constantly. I received over 20 calls and 100 emails in just one week. This arrangement caused me to lose out on 40% of the salary I deserved and that the client was willing to pay without agency involvement. Shockingly, the client didn't even want to use an agency. Execu-Search found the client's job post on Indeed and then deceptively engaged them. After I spoke with the client, we both realized Execu-Search had misled us. They told me the client needed to fill the position within 72 hours, but the client was actually taking their time. Meanwhile, Execu-Search told the client I was considering other offers and close to accepting another job. I strongly advise against using this agency; there are many reputable firms that are worth your time and rightfully earn their commission.
