First up was a chat with HR for a basic screening, just to get a feel for you. Then, a more in-depth conversation with the hiring manager about your experience. After that, you'll do a role-play of a discovery call with a potential client. The final step is a meeting with the Managing Director to check how you'd fit with the company culture.

First, I was contacted via email and then invited for a phone interview with HR, which lasted about 30 minutes. About two weeks later, I had another phone interview with the head of the department, also lasting half an hour. The interviews involved asking questions to understand the company's specific needs for the role and required enthusiasm.

Behavioral Presentation

I had a phone screening with HR that went well. The recruiter seemed enthusiastic and gave off positive vibes. They didn't give many details about the onsite interview, like who I'd meet or the schedule. When I got to the office, I overheard employees complaining. The recruiter wasn't there to greet me, so the hiring manager met me and we talked for about 15-20 minutes. The VP even popped in for a few minutes during the chat. They questioned my reasons for looking for a new job, specifically my mention of 'improved culture,' and hinted that I might have trouble getting along with people, which I tried to clarify wasn't the main issue without badmouthing my current employer. After that, the hiring manager went to find another Account Executive for me to talk to, but he wasn't available. Then she suggested I talk to the recruiter, who was also unavailable. So, the hiring manager walked me out. Before I left, she gave me positive feedback and said I'd be moving to the next stage, which was a presentation at the office. They didn't apologize for the fact that I spoke to hardly anyone, including my recruiter, and that the interview, which I'd taken time off work for, ended in about 25 minutes instead of the expected hour. I decided then that I didn't want to work for such a disorganized company that disrespected my motivations and my time. A few days later, I got an automated email from the recruiter stating I wasn't selected to move forward, which contradicted what I was told after the interview.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They questioned why 'culture' was my reason for leaving and asked, 'What? Do you not get along with your coworkers?'
