It's very thorough which I can appreciate. You'll meet with the recruiter first. Then you will do a written interview (this probably depends on what job your going into). Then you interview with the supervisor. After that you will interview one last time to see if your personality and experience is a good fit for the team. I think it was great because it shows me they care about who they hire and they're not just trying to fill positions for it to be a revolving door.

The interview process was chill and pretty straightforward. The recruiter was super communicative and didn’t waste my time, which I appreciated. Questions were fair stuff about my sales background and how I’d handle certain situations. What I liked most was how open they were about what the job’s really like. It felt more like a chat than one of those stiff, formal interviews. The commission structure seemed like it wasn’t fully locked in yet. They got back to me pretty quick after, which was a nice change, even though I didn't get the role.

So, a recruiter named Vincent hit me up on LinkedIn. I had my settings on so recruiters knew I was looking, but it wasn't like, publicly known. We had a quick screening call, and it seemed like my background would fit the job well. After that, I got a technical assessment to do. Vincent messaged me mid-week, so I had the rest of that week plus the weekend to tackle it. Honestly, it was one of the cooler technical assessments I've done. Once I passed that, I had four more interviews with people at TalkSpace: first, the Senior Data Scientist and my potential manager, then their boss, who's the head of Data Science and Analytics, then my main point person, the head of FP&A, and finally, the VP of People. I got the official job offer the day after that last call. All in all, the whole thing took a few weeks from Vincent first reaching out to getting the offer.

So I interviewed with Talkspace all the way to the end and wanted to share my full experience. The process was pretty standard: recruiter chat, a take-home test, hiring manager interview, then a panel with two team members, and finally a chat with the CPO (though I didn't make it to that last one). Everyone I talked to was nice, asked good questions, and I felt like I was challenged appropriately because they clearly knew what they wanted. A couple of things to note: 1. The take-home assignment itself was fine and didn't seem too time-consuming, but it's a bit weird it comes before you even talk to the hiring manager. I'd rather know if it's a good fit before spending time on a two-part assignment. 2. They really stretched out my interview process, it took about a month and a half! I tried to be patient because it was around the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas), but I think we started the initial contact in early November. I had to keep nudging the team to get updates and schedule calls. The recruiter was great and very responsive, but it seems like he preferred phone calls. I rarely got email replies; if I asked about my status, I wouldn't hear back until he called me days later. It felt like he only responded when he had solid information, which is good, but the long silences can be a bit unsettling. I was really into Talkspace and the role, so it was a bummer not to get an offer, but the experience wasn't a waste. They did give me feedback on why I wasn't selected, which I really appreciate.
