First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Talkdesk.
Software Engineer
The first phase seemed to go really well, at least from my perspective. I think my salary expectations might have been a bit too high, but they didn't mention that upfront. I left the interview feeling confident I'd done great, but then I never heard back from them.
- Can you tell me about yourself and how you work?
- How do you structure your work and manage your time?
- How do you balance your professional and personal life?
Software Engineer
The recruitment process has 4 stages: First, an initial chat with HR. Then, a technical challenge to do at home and submit. Next, a technical interview to briefly discuss the challenge, followed by technical questions about hypothetical scenarios that arise from the conversation, to understand what solutions the candidate would adopt in each situation. Finally, an interview with managers focused more on soft skills and getting to know the candidate. After that, a proposal is presented.
- What is your motivation?
Software Engineer
There's a first interview to get to know the candidate, then an email with a small challenge is received. In my case, it was a phone system challenge (create a very simple API and an interface to perform GET, PUT, POST, DELETE). After the project, there's a technical interview.
- Could you answer general questions about Java?
- Tell me about Threads.
- What do you know about Semaphores?
