Customer Success Manager
First meeting with the HR team - I was unprepared, they couldn't talk about the position, the benefits, when they needed the professional, or anything. They just talked a bit about the company's history. Second meeting with the CS team - they were prepared, asked relevant questions and focused a lot on 'we are a united team, but I will demand a lot'. They didn't seem to know what kind of professional they really wanted.
- In what experience did you learn the most during your journey?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process involved several 1:1 meetings, starting with a recruiter screen and then a hiring manager interview. I also met with two manager peers and one Customer Success Manager (CSM). A significant part of the process was a 45-minute presentation I delivered with a manager peer and two CSMs, which was recorded. The final step was a 1:1 with the Sr. Director of Customer Success. The entire process spanned about 3 to 4 weeks.
- How do you engage and retain a remote team?
Customer Success Manager
Had first interview with recruiter, second interview with hiring manager. The third interview was with their very odd person over CS; she seemed out of it during the whole interview. At the end of the interview I asked if “there were any red flags or gaps that I could fill in to ensure I move forward in the interview process” and she said don’t focus on me, focus on the team... what a strange answer to an easy question. Sounds like the company is a disarray at this point. After three interviews all I get is a standard ’thanks for applying’ email.
