Behavioral Presentation

It was a three stage interview process. The first round was with the director, the second with my direct manager, and the final round was a panel interview where I had to demo the product and solution. The pay was reasonable. I got the sense that the company is really desperate for talent right now and expects an accelerated onboarding with limited resources for ramping up. They've had multiple rounds of layoffs recently and aren't profitable yet. They are pushing hard for an IPO but the product isn't revolutionary. I saw some red flags in their company culture; the CEO seems to model himself after Musk, talks a big game but appears to have limited values.

Behavioral Presentation

The first interview was a phone call with the recruiter, which covered the job description and included typical behavioral questions like 'tell me about yourself.' Then, I interviewed with the director lead, followed by someone from the team I'd be working with. The final stage was a presentation exercise.

Technical Presentation Case Behavioral

So, the interview had four parts: first, a chat with HR, then a meeting with the hiring manager, after that, an interview with the Director of Customer Success, and to wrap it all up, a panel interview. The panel interview was pretty wild though, it had a 90-minute case study where I had to do a whole presentation and a custom product demo. It felt like a lot, especially for the pay. The case study involved making a deck and a demo with hardly any info or help. I put in a ton of time, but the hiring manager said I didn't present it "correctly," which was confusing because the instructions weren't clear. Honestly, I wouldn't suggest this for experienced folks, especially if they're already working. The amount of prep work they expect for free doesn't match the salary or how open they should be. Also, the hiring manager wasn't very technical, so the grading felt all over the place. All in all, this interview process really needs a rework. The way it's set up and what they expect doesn't really show if someone has the right skills or can talk well.
