Account Executive
The beginning of the interview process was pretty smooth. The team was great at communicating and always got back to me quickly. I had an initial screening call, then talked to a sales leader and their manager. Things got a bit weird after that. In my third interview, the person seemed really unfocused and asked if I had talked to a few other people. I told him who I had spoken to, and he just continued, even though I hadn't met the people he expected. We chatted about my sales background and my approach, and the rest of the conversation was pretty casual. He asked about my hobbies and interests, which was fine because we had some common ground. To end the call, he mentioned I'd be moving on to the presentation part of the process. After that, they went completely silent for weeks. I followed up several times, and while I got some replies at first, eventually, there was nothing. Weeks later, I finally got an automated-sounding email saying they chose someone who was a better fit for the role.

Enterprise Account Executive
It was hard to get the interview scheduled, even with a referral. The scheduling was a mess with lots of back and forth and postponements. When I got the offer, it was way less than we talked about. The whole thing was sloppy and unprofessional. It left a bad impression. They didn't respect my time and the offer was a bait-and-switch. I wonder what the hiring manager and culture are like if this is how they treat people. The bad reviews were right, I should have listened. Save yourself the headache and skip Talkdesk. I'd rather do manual labor than work for a company that's so disorganized and rude. It felt like a scam.
- What is the deal size?
- Can you go over your history?
- What is your reason for leaving?
Account Executive
It was a 30-minute call to discuss my background and their hiring process. They wanted to know why I was interested in Talkdesk and if I was okay with a role focused solely on prospecting. It was a bit challenging for a first screen.
- Looking at your previous role, it seems you didn't achieve the expected results, which led to your departure. Is that an accurate assessment?
