Senior Technical Recruiter
The interview process had about four rounds, all on Google Meet. It started with a Recruiter PS Team Member Screen, then a Sourcing Exercise, and ended with a Final Meeting with the Head of Business Development. It was pretty quick, with weekly follow-ups until after the final round. I interviewed in November 2025 and got rejected on 2/6/25. The process was fine until the last interview. The Head of BD was curt, fidgety, and disengaged while I was talking. They made a comment about me being 'candidate focused/driven,' which is my job as a recruiter. I think the role is more of a 'talent partner' or 'consultant' given its scope. The whole process could be better. Getting back to a candidate three months later is not okay.

Recruiter
The whole process dragged on for about 6 weeks. First, I had a chat with the recruiter, then an interview with a Talent Acquisition Manager. After that, I had to create and give a presentation to the Director of the region. I was told I did well and would be matched with a client soon. A week later, I nudged my recruiter for an update since I had other offers I was looking at. She then dropped the bomb that I needed one more call with their leadership team. This was surprising because I thought I had already passed and was moving forward. Anyway, I did that final call with the exec. In the end, they said there wasn't a client for me right now, but maybe in a month or so. This was all for a 6-month contract gig with no guarantee of extension or full-time conversion, and the pay was pretty low. Honestly, it felt like a waste of time and disrespectful, especially given the low salary offer. I'd suggest looking elsewhere where your time and experience are valued more.
- What are the key metrics you monitor for sourcing candidates?
- Describe your approach to managing challenging hiring managers.
- Could you walk me through an experience using the STAR method?
Recruiter
It started with a recruiter call to get to know me better. Then, I had an interview with a team member where we talked about my past experience and what I do. Following that, there was a technical part where, since my interview was recruitment-based, I had to demonstrate key skills like using LinkedIn Recruiter. The last step was a call with an interviewer.
- Can you tell me about your experience and recruitment skills?
- Demonstrate your key recruitment skills, specifically how you use LinkedIn Recruiter.
