It was a simple enough process; an intro chat, a values chat and a presentation style interview with a co-founder. Somehow this took Talentful three months from end-to-end, and three weeks from final to giving a decision. The decision was ultimately a no, but they stressed it was purely because other recruiters were willing to take less, but the feedback had been excellent throughout. It was incredibly hard to get clarity on the specific role, as on multiple occasions it was confused which role I was interviewing for, and they even got the wrong role on the rejection email. The internal recruiter was hard to get hold of. They ignored my emails or took multiple days to respond, and would miss their own deadlines for when they promised they would get back to me. I know others at Talentful who said they had a similar experience with said recruiter. To give balance, I did enjoy the interviews in isolation and they seemed like nice people, but there's such an irony to be asked about candidate experience in interview when Talentful have offered the worst candidate experience I've ever seen. Don't waste your time unless you have literally nothing else available in this market - sadly, Talentful knows this is likely the case, hence the low salaries and willingness to string you along.

I applied for the role on LinkedIn and heard back the same day from an internal recruiter to set up a phone screen. They gave me a good amount of info. Then I talked with the person who's currently in the job, and we did a sourcing exercise and went over my background and the role more. The last interview was a panel where I got hit with like 10+ questions straight about their values. The whole thing took about 10 days, and I got the offer the day after. They gave me a good offer and the best experience.

The interview process at Talentful had three parts - first, a chat with the internal recruiter over the phone. Then, two in-person interviews. The first one was with a Talent Partner and Talent Manager and had a LinkedIn sourcing exercise. The second was with a Director of Engagement and the Senior People & Culture Manager. It was a fun and challenging process, in a good, thought-provoking way! They asked questions about my recruitment experience, my knowledge of Talentful, and gave me scenario-based questions (some based on past experiences and others hypothetical). Each interviewer also made sure I had plenty of time to ask my own questions. The interviews were really well-organized and the interviewers were engaging and honest, which gave me a great feel for the company and its people.
