IT Recruiter
I had one phone interview. Initially, there were some scheduling issues, and the interview had to be rescheduled, but that was okay. The phone interview itself went fine, and the recruiter who called me seemed pleasant. She then scheduled me for an in-person interview two weeks later. About a week before my interview, I tried to contact her to confirm, but I didn't hear back. Then, two days before the interview, I checked again and finally received a response that the company was no longer hiring and that I wouldn't be interviewing. They didn't even let me know about this decision. Considering I was traveling from out of state, and they were aware of this, it was incredibly inconsiderate. It was very unprofessional and disappointing. I won't be considering any Talener offices for future employment.

Got a call to come into the office for an in-person interview from someone in talent acquisition. Once I arrived, the office was pretty small and a bit run-down. The receptionist, who looked new, asked me to wait. It turned out the person I was supposed to meet with (and who my phone interviewer told me to research) was busy, so I ended up meeting with a VP and then a manager. They were both really nice and went over company logistics and benefits with me.

Recruiter
I saw the job on a career site, it mentioned recent college grads, so I applied. Within a week, I had a phone interview with someone from their SF office, even though I was in NY at the time but looking for a West Coast job. A few days after that, the manager called me. Both chats were pretty basic, just checking my work ethic, experience, and if I really wanted to be a recruiter. The SF manager then invited me for an on-site. Since I was still in NY, they set it up at their NY HQ. Walking in, the office vibe was great, people were genuinely happy. It seemed like a deal had just closed because everyone was cheering. They were all dressed casually. I interviewed with the CEO and three other recruiters. Again, pretty standard stuff, nothing unexpected. A few days later, the SF manager contacted me. He said the feedback was good but I'd need to visit their office for a final decision. Feeling good about it, I flew out the next week. The day I was supposed to interview, the manager left early. I was a bit annoyed, but I interviewed with three other people there. It went really well. I called the manager a few days later since I hadn't heard back. He mentioned he got great feedback from the associates and would reply after the weekend. No word on Monday, so I emailed. Called the office on Tuesday, and he was out sick. I sent another email and never heard back. I found this extremely unprofessional, especially after I made a trip for the job and went through so many interviews.
