First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TAG (CA).
Marketing Associate
The interview process was really fast. They have this unusual payment setup, which is basically an MLM strategy, and they also have meetings that aren't paid. From what I can tell, most people don't stick around for long and are usually looking for another job.
- What makes you want to join TAG?
Sales Representative
Had a quick in-person interview. Then they called me back. After that, I had to work a half day (a ride-along) and then wait to talk with the owner/manager. I didn't like that after I spent a morning of my time to see how the job is that I wasn't even offered coffee or lunch - it shows how they don't invest in their employees. It felt like a pyramid scheme.
- Why are you interested in sales?
- Do you see yourself as a good fit for this role?
Account Executive
I applied online and they reached out the next day for the Account Executive role via text message to set up the interview. When I got there, the receptionist greeted me and I had to fill out a form with questions about my interests and past experience. I waited in the lobby, which was quiet and had other interviews happening. The wait wasn't long, and I met with the manager at the scheduled time. The manager was friendly, and we had a one-on-one in his office. The interview felt professional yet relaxed, and he asked questions about me, how I found the company, what drew me to it, and my career aspirations. It felt more like a casual chat than an interrogation, and I felt comfortable, like I already knew them. He then explained the business and their clients, mentioning Quill. I was particularly interested in the potential for management opportunities. The conversation lasted about 15 minutes, and he answered my questions too. I'm hoping for a second interview.
- What leadership qualities would make you a strong candidate for this role?
- Can you share your proudest accomplishment?
Account Representative
Amanda called me and was super nice, she invited me for an interview. The interview itself was great, I felt respected and everyone was really energetic. I basically had to sell myself for the role, and luckily it worked out, as I've been working here since.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
