So the interview process for this role started with a phone interview, then a Zoom interview. After that, there was a final 3-hour product demo that I had to present to a bunch of hiring managers. I put in about 20 hours to get ready for that big demo. But then, the day before the demo, my hiring manager called and told me they were putting a pause on hiring for now. They weren't sure how long it would last but said I was a strong candidate and that they'd reach out when they started hiring again. Never heard back from them.

My first interview was with HR and it went really well. They seemed super keen to share all the details about the job and really get to know my background. The next interview was with the hiring manager, which was a bit weird. He wasn't really into hearing about me, but more about the company I used to work for (which is a competitor). Every time I tried to talk about my experience, he'd cut me off and ask about my current employer and their products. He was okay with my potential start date at first, but then changed his mind by the end. When I got to ask some questions, he seemed annoyed and rushed me. At the end, he mentioned a panel demo next and said he'd ask HR to help sort out my travel to Paris. He gave me all the info and said someone from his team would reach out soon to discuss the panel demo. Five days later, I got a vague email from the recruiter saying they weren't moving forward. I tried emailing and calling the recruiter for more info but never heard back. It's been 5 months and the job is still up on LinkedIn and their website.

It was a long process with many phone interviews since a lot of the team is remote. Then I had an in-person interview with some team members and the manager. Finally, I had to do a software demo for a panel. Overall it was a pretty straightforward process.
