First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T&T Supermarket.
Project Control Specialist
It started with an HR phone interview where they asked about my experience and motivation. Then, about two weeks after that, I had a panel interview with the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and the Head Engineer. This interview covered both technical and behavioral aspects.
- What is the most crucial aspect of project control?
- What system do you utilize for tracking project progress?
Cashier
The interview was really simple and straightforward. They mostly asked if I had any prior cashier or retail experience, and whether I could memorize PLU codes. No tricky questions or tests. As long as you show you're reliable and willing to learn, you should be fine. The whole process was quick, and I got the offer soon after.
- Could you memorize PLU codes and are you able to work in a fast-paced environment?
- They asked if I could memorize PLU codes and work in a fast-paced environment. That seemed to be the most important part of the job
Bakery Assistant
I had an English interview with my potential direct supervisor and an HR representative. It was a smooth and casual atmosphere. The interviewers were friendly and created a chatty, relaxed environment. This approach encouraged open communication while still assessing my skills and if I would fit in with the team.
- Tell me about your relevant experience.
- What's your experience handling heavy objects?
Kitchen Production Associate
After my first interview, the manager seemed keen to hire me, but I asked for about a week to consider the offer. I decided to accept within three days, before the week was up. Then, the HR person called to give me more details about the job, including pay and career growth, essentially moving the hiring process forward. Surprisingly, right after that call, HR contacted me again saying there needed to be a second interview with a junior manager and that no offer had been finalized yet. It was quite confusing with all the back and forth.
- Given the nature of the job, including hard labor and other demanding aspects, are you confident you can perform the duties?
