Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T. Rowe Price.
Financial Analyst
The first part was an online prerecorded interview, which can be pretty stressful or not, depending on your preferences. The questions were typical, but it took me a very long time.
- Can you describe a time when you solved a problem in a past experience?
Financial Analyst
I was contacted after the HR initial review of my resume. It took the HR professional 15-20 minutes to be satisfied that I would be a fit. One of the managers in the department recruiting also had a telephone interview with me before the in-office interview. I was interviewed by three Senior Managers. The duration was about 20-30 minutes, all questions were behavioral in nature.
- What would make you nervous?
Financial Analyst
It was an on-campus interview. I interviewed with a senior executive I had met the prior evening at an information session. It was pretty relaxed because she only needed to see what was on my resume. I asked a lot of questions about the company to make the interview last 30 minutes. About a week later, I was invited to the Owings Mill campus for 3 interviews with employees, a group tour, and a job shadow.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated exceptional leadership?
- Could you discuss a time in your experience when you encountered failure?
