First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T. Rowe Price.
Financial Planner
The job is for a Financial Planner, need to be good with compliance and coaching it. A big part of the job, like 50%, is Project Management and Process Management. You won't have direct reports, but you'll work with other managers and be on the Leadership Team. The final candidates had a lot of leadership experience. It seems like there might be a recruiter call, then maybe a group thing, a presentation, background check, and then an offer.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated leadership and had to influence others?
Finance
This was a behavioral interview with a panel of senior managers. There were about 6-8 questions, and they wanted STAR answers: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Be very detailed.
- Describe a difficult situation you faced and how you handled it.
Finance
The staff was really welcoming. An alum met with us and asked if we had any questions while we waited for the interview, which was nice because we could relate to him. Once we were inside for the interview, the atmosphere was really comfortable. The interview was only 20 minutes and I thought it was very easy going.
