First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T. Rowe Price.
Business Analyst
I interviewed in Jan 2024 for an Analyst role. My experience was okay, interviewers had technical experience, but the job description didn't mention any technical skills. The interviewers also seemed untrained and it was unorganized. First, the recruiter emailed me with questions about hybrid work and visa status. After I followed up a week later, I had an initial phone screen with the recruiter who asked basic questions about my background, why I wanted to work for the company, visa status, relocation willingness, and interview availability. Then, I had a virtual interview with two technical interviewers. It started with 'tell me about yourself,' followed by project and experience questions, then a few behavioral questions. After that, there were technical questions about programming languages and databases. I didn't move forward, but the next round was likely with the Senior Manager.
- How do you manage when under pressure and handling multiple tasks?
- What actions would you take if you weren't getting a response from someone?
- Could you name some libraries used with programming languages?
Business Analyst
First, the Internal Recruiter reached out with some questions via email. Then, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager in the US. After that, I met with my future team members, a Product Owner and a Business Analyst, for a panel interview.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure and the lessons you took away from it?
- Could you describe a User Story?
Business Systems Analyst
First, there was a recruiter call. Then, I had a half-day interview with the whole team and the hiring manager. Each team member/manager had about 30 minutes with me. They asked about my previous experiences related to the job and about how I'd fit in with the team.
- Can you share your previous experiences related to the job description?
- How well do you think you would fit with our team?
