First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T. Rowe Price.
Accountant
Had an initial call with HR for a background check. Then went through 4 online interviews separately with the hiring manager, the UK team, the US team, and the client team. I didn't get the job because someone else was just a little bit better than me.
- What is your motivation for applying to this role?
Staff Accountant
I first had a phone chat with a senior recruiter who'd been there 3 months, not from the department. They mentioned it'd be a slow hiring process. If I moved to an in-person, it'd be 1-2 weeks to schedule and 3-4 months to start. I got called a week later to set up the in-person interview, which was 2 weeks out. At the in-person, I met 5 people. They were all positive and had casual chats, showing interest in my skills and experience. They said I'd hear back in a few weeks. I sent thank you emails that afternoon and followed up again 2 weeks later, but never heard back.
- Can you describe any regulations you've had to adhere to in previous or current roles?
Accountant
First spoke to HR, then met the team lead, and then met with some other associates on Zoom. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week and a half. Most questions were about my background and how I handle things.
- What are your career aspirations for the next 3-5 years?
